A case file fills up with long PDFs, and from each one you will cite only a handful of pages. JUDLEX arrives at its first release with that separation already made: classify a document and JUDLEX keeps every range of pages as a PDF of its own, with its title and its date, and leaves the original whole. JUDLEX then orders those documents by date and gives each one the annex number you will cite in a filing, and you decide when those numbers stop moving. On screen you can also hide the names of clients and counterparties.
One PDF per document
A single scan often holds five separate documents one after another. You mark where each one begins and ends, and JUDLEX saves every range of pages as its own PDF inside the case file, with its title, its date and its pages. You open it from the case file whenever you need it, and the original stays exactly as it was.
Numbers that stop moving
The documents attached to a filing carry a number, annex A.1, annex A.2, and that is the number you cite in the body of the filing. While numbering is open, JUDLEX orders them by date and recalculates as new ones come in. Protect the case file and the numbers already given stay put: whatever arrives later goes underneath, so A.1.1 appears below A.1.
Names hidden on screen
Sometimes you have the case file open with somebody beside you who has no business reading the client's name. You can hide the names of clients and counterparties in the case file views. It changes what appears on screen, and JUDLEX leaves the documents themselves untouched.
