With a matter or a case file in front of you, the chat does not only answer: it also acts. You can ask it to work through what is still outstanding in the matter, or to tidy up its folders and papers, in your own words, as you would ask someone in the firm.
For a general question there is no matter to work on, so there the chat only answers.
Working through what is left
“Read and analyse the ones that are left”, “work through what is outstanding in this matter”. The chat understands, answers in one sentence, and JUDLEX counts what is still to be done in the matter:
documents not yet split;
documents already split that still have unread scanned pages;
papers nobody has identified yet.
It tells you what it is going to send (uses your provider's AI, with how many documents, pages and scanned pages) and starts without asking for Go ahead: you have asked for it. From there it is the same work as when papers come in: it splits, files, identifies and analyses, describing each step, with Stop to hand: When papers come in.
If there is nothing left, it says so. If it is already working on other papers in the matter, it says that too and does not start another job on top.
Tidying up the matter
“Move the 2019 invoices to Accounts”, “call this one Deposit contract”, “make a Tax folder inside Administrative”, “this is not an invoice, it is a quote”, “change its date to 3 March”. The chat says it is on it and does it:
create, rename and move folders;
move papers from one folder to another, or take them out to Unfiled;
change a paper's name, type or date;
accept where a paper has been filed.
It happens without asking for confirmation, because you asked for it, and it is recorded just as if you had done it by hand: what it moves is confirmed, and what it changes does not overwrite the paper's other details. When it finishes, the chat shows the list of what it changed, one line per change.
If it is not sure which paper you mean, it does not guess: it asks you.
To do this, JUDLEX sends the provider the list of the matter's folders and papers (the name, type, date and folder of each) together with what you asked for. It is a call to the artificial intelligence and is paid for with your key, like the others.
Deleting is always confirmed
If you ask it to delete something (a paper, an original, a folder), the chat does not delete it. It shows you the list of what it would delete, with where each item is, and you can open each paper with Open it to check before you decide.
Yes, delete it, or Yes, delete all with the number of items, deletes it.
Don't delete anything leaves everything as it was.
Deleting a folder does not delete its papers: they move up to the folder above. Deleting an original takes the papers that came out of it along with it, and the list says so.
What it does not do
The chat does not count time limits, not even when asked: that is done on the deadline worksheet, with the skipped days in front of you and your signature: Count a deadline.
